Holiday season is near. So this means that you will have to buy gifts to people, but you will also receive gifts. Here is my worst gifts list.
- Dollar store goods --- Unless you are a little kid, you don't want to get anything from a dollar store for your gift. I would rather receive nothing than dollar store photo frame or vase. Dollar store maybe good for wrapping papers only.
- Plants --- This may be good for someone who just wanted a plant in their house. Plants are very tricky, because unlike fresh flowers, they last long. It occupies your space and gives you a new chore of watering. Some plants need special care or makes mess around, or comes with small bugs. Unless you know for sure that they appreciate the plant you are bringing, don't bring plants.
- Clothes --- This is a very tricky gift as well. Unless you know the brand the receiver likes and the style and colour that really appeal to them, clothes aren't always appreciated. If you give them gift receipts, they may bring it to exchange, but otherwise, it will sure to go to the Goodwill.
- Large box of cheap chocolate --- This actually happens frequently. After the holiday season is over, I often have many boxes of cheap chocolate I don't know what to do with. They often sit at home for another 6 to 8 months and thrown away in the garbage. It is great to receive a small box of high end chocolate, but before you give away a large box, you should rethink twice.
- Gift card of the store you never shop --- People think that it maybe better to give a gift card than giving a gift they don't want. Yes, that is correct, but if you are given a gift card to the store you don't like and never shop, what can you do? It is very likely that you will buy something you don't really like or need, or re-gift to someone else.
