But how about "health"? When you are healthy and well, you never think about it. You never notice how lucky you are. Like all things in life, you don't really think about what you have, and think more about you don't have. If you are healthy and don't think about any health issues, you might neglect keeping yourself that way. When I was younger, someone said that "how much exercise today will affect your life ten years from now". I don't like exercise of any sorts and I never had any health problems, so I never took such a comment seriously. I thought I wouldn't change that much in ten years just because I didn't work out. I think it might have taken more than ten years to notice deteriorating physical strength in my body, but slowly aches and pains that never bothered me before started becoming a bit of issues. So is "health" the most important thing?
As you get older, you may have children or elderly parents to look after. Even if you are healthy and beautiful, there maybe times that you don't have enough to provide them with what they need. If your parents need full time assistance because of some illness, it costs a lot of money to hire someone to look after them and if you are to assist them, you may not be able to go work. Or you might lose your job and can't find new one for a long time. How can you provide your children with what they need? Is it possible that the "wealth" is the best thing after all? If you are unhealthy and suffer and die at the end, isn't it comforting to have "wealth" so that those you look after won't suffer from your departure?
Sometimes I wish some magical being appears and gives me one wish to be granted. It would be nicer if more than one wishes were granted, but if I have to choose one, what should I pick? I was inclined to say "wealth", but then if he gives me horrible disease that I have to suffer for a long time instead, do I really feel happy about getting "wealth" instead of "health"? Until I meet such magical being, I probably have lots of time thinking about what to choose.
Which one of these three would you choose?
