Sweet Lime

I found this fruit called "sweet lime" in a local grocery store. The left one in the above picture is the sweet lime. The right one is a lemon. Sweet lime looks very much like a lemon rather than lime. It is mostly yellow but some of them have greenish hue. The shape is round like a regular lime.

At the grocery store, a lady was promoting sweet lime and had cut out pieces for you to try. She also gave me juice. She said that if you don't drink it soon after squeezing juice, it becomes bitter.

I liked eating the pieces better than drinking it as juice. I thought it almost tasted like grapefruit, but when I tried it again at home, it was more like tasteless orange. I don't mean that this was tasteless, but it didn't have the flavour like orange. It has no real sweetness, but no sourness like lime or lemon, so it is easy to eat.

This fruit is high in vitamin C and good for health. I wouldn't say that this was my favorite type of fruit, but I will definitely be eating again in future.  I'm glad I encountered "sweet lime".
